ANALYSIS:
A run-of-the-mill 0-80 sprint in which PAX did well to win as he met trouble when coming from off the pace on the inside, but then quickened to get clear before holding on well. It was a career-best effort and he seems to go on any ground.
Ragamuffin ran a fair race to take second, running on, Effervesce, who is 7lb higher than his last win, ran a solid race having been forced to challenge wide. Bon Ami ran creditably again but remains hard to win with. Cadeaux Cher missed a beat at the start. Persian Pearl was keen and faded, but the real disappointment of the race was the in-form Bint Royal, who had every chance turning for home, but soon dropped away.
