ANALYSIS: YORKSHIRE BLUE, only marginally higher in the ratings than when winning at Ayr last week, followed up in the style of a horse in form.
Sticking to his task in good style in the final furlong, he was always holding the runner-up at bay. It would come as no surprise to see him complete a hat-trick.
Borrego, not as well drawn as the winner, also lacked the benefit of a previous run this season. He ran an admirable race, however, only being outpointed inside the last. Although he may have nothing in hand of the handicapper after his good end to last season, he should be able to find a winning opportunity.
Low Cloud ran a creditable race in third, wearing a first-time visor, while Cashneem fared well under his penalty.
Efidium was not disgraced, running off a career-high mark. Snow Bunting and Noble Penny were both hampered by an incident after a furlong and a half which saw Balakiref clip heels and unseat his rider.
