ANALYSIS:

Although this nursery featured plenty of runners who had been given just the three races required for a handicap mark, it was won by the most exposed member of the field.
The step up to 1m clearly suited MONICA GELLER, a running-on second in a similar race over 7f at Yarmouth last week. After being held up at the back of the field, she made headway on the outside of the pack as they came over to the stands side. She arrived on the scene going well, but had to battle to hold on in a finish that saw the first seven covered by little more than two lengths.
Trainer Conrad Allen, who could turn her out again next week in a fillies' nursery at Newmarket, believes this is her ground.
Grand Five travelled well, much closer to the pace than the winner but, having been switched right for his challenge, he was just run out of it. He is clearly capable of winning a race like this.
Cearnach stayed on after getting outpaced. He looked well suited by this stiffish test, and his unexposed stablemate Hawkes Run also got the trip well, although he was off the bridle a long way out and once again did not look the easiest of rides.
Rambagh, tried on this ground for the first time, went well in it and can win a similar race.
Bound, who raced right under the rail, and top-weight Cashneem, the long-time leader, were well clear of Thundermill, who in turn was well clear of the rest.
