ANALYSIS: This was just a moderate event but MUGEBA had run well off the same mark over course and distance nine days earlier and gained reward for her consistency. She was soon holding a prominent position and readily went to the front over a furlong out before edging left and holding the late challenge of the top-weight. She has shown her best form at this venue and looks sure to acquit herself in similar company on future visits.
Digital, a winner at Carlisle last month, was better served being professionally ridden as making little show in a ladies' event on Diamond Day at Ascot at Newbury and kept on well after holding a prominent position throughout. He is obviously not getting any younger but still has the ability to win races at this level.
Princess Galadriel was another to race close to the pace and took over up front from Warden Warren two furlongs out but could only keep on at the same pace in the final furlong. She didn't do a lot wrong and should soon find a little race like this.
Hollow Jo ran his best of the season after three uninspiring efforts and ran on quite well in the closing stages. He is well handicapped on his best form and could soon be ready to resume winning ways in this class of contest.
