ANALYSIS: Around 11 millimetres of
rain the previous day took a modicum of the sting out of the ground
but it was still very quick. This juvenile maiden did not look a
great contest on paper, with CARMENERO setting the standard
on official ratings. He has had a few chances in the past but
managed to get his head in front on this occasion. He will now
return to nurseries but has been beaten off his current mark in that
sphere in the past.
Bling was slowly away as on his debut and that probably just
made the difference between victory and defeat in the end. He shaped
as if another furlong would not go amiss and should be placed to go
one better in the near future in similar company.
Lady Zanzara had every chance but is beginning to look
difficult to win with.
The front three came well clear of the remainder, which does not say
much for those behind.
