ANALYSIS: More quantity than
quality in this low-grade handicap, which produced a pillar-to-post
winner in QUEEN JEAN, who showed plenty of dash throughout
and stuck on well when strongly tackled late on.
A daughter of Pivotal, this soft ground - and it was soft by this
race, if not sooner in the afternoon - suited her ideally. She can
probably win again at this sort of level.
Mystic Storm, who came in for solid support, came out of the
pack to throw down a strong challenge, but was never able to master
the determined winner.
Al Hawa, an Irish raider, ran a sound enough race, but was
comfortably held by the first two.
Dado Mush left previous efforts behind on his handicap debut.
Prince Picasso, bidding to defy a penalty after hisYarmouth
win, never looked altogether comfortable here and may have been
unsuited by the soft ground.
Strife was comfortably beaten off his revised mark.
