ANALYSIS: A low-grade handicap
run at a strong gallop was won in good style by WALNUT GROVE,
who chased the three leaders and drew readily clear in the final
furlong.
This faster ground seemed to suit her, as she improved markedly on
her reappearance run at Thirsk and, though this form is modest,
she's lightly raced and scored in the style of an improving sort.
She can win again.
Jaassey, settled off the strong pace, ran on to take second
and once again fared well enough to suggest he can pick up a race.
Carr Hall was by no means disgraced, considering he was one
of the trio to set the pace, and he fared by far the best of the
three.
Farne Island, slightly hampered at the start, was very keen
in rear but ran on well after getting a good run up the inner. This
looks about his trip.
Another to stay on after being hampered at the start was
Salisbury World, who had shown very little recently but
performed with more promise this time.
